Returning to New Zealand is Susan Gerbic. A self-proclaimed skeptical junkie, Susan is the co-founder of the Monterey County Skeptics hailing from Salinas, California. She contributes regularly to the Skeptical Inquirer (CSICOP) and the Skepticality podcast, and also is the Fearless Leader of the Guerrilla Skepticism on Wikipedia project.

Susan Gerbic, an unsuspecting Thomas John – the hot-reading psychic, and Mark Edward
Most recently, she founded and runs ‘About Time’, a non-profit organization promoting skepticism. A true heroine in our eyes, Susan has also been intricately involved in recent sting operations to catch and expose so-called psychics and mediums who use hot-reading tricks.

Susan has focused much of her skeptical activism on people claiming to be clairvoyant mediums, such as Sylvia Browne, Tyler Henry, and Thomas John, whom she calls “grief vampires“.
Susan has been to our conferences before, attending our 2016 Conference in Queenstown. and the conference dinner, hosted at Puzzling World in Wanaka. She is also to be seen at many skeptic events around the USA and beyond.
Susan’s speaking topic at the conference is “Grief Vampires – Wikipedia and Beyond!“
